Why didn't I receive a Feed-In Tariff (FIT) payment on my bill?

The rules surrounding the Feed-In Tariff (FIT) mean that we’re not able to make payments based on estimated readings. To make sure you receive a payment on next month’s bill, please give us a reading. Don't worry, we'll pay you for all the electricity you've generated up to this reading so you won't miss out.

The simplest and quickest way to give us meter readings is through your online UW account or using the UW app, if you're registered use the button below. This can be entered using your FIT reference number, the one starting with the letters 'EY'.

Alternatively, you can also call our automated meter reading line on 0333 777 0 999

We'll accept the reading for the date it's inputted. If the reading isn't accepted using these methods you can send an email to [email protected] with a meter photo showing the reading and meter serial number. Unfortunately, we do not normally accept readings by email unless you have not been able to enter the reading on our automated systems.

If you gave us a meter reading last month but it's not showing on your bill, the reading may have been higher than your usual generation or the 2-yearly meter inspection may be overdue. If this is the case, we normally will have already contacted you by email or phone with instructions on how to resolve the problem. If you’ve not received communication from us please contact us and we'll look into this for you.
