Is having a smart meter safe?

Smart meters won’t:
Give us the power to control or switch off the energy you use.
Allow us to misuse or pass on your personal data.
Take away your freedom to switch to another provider.
Require you to have broadband or an internet connection in order to work.
Cause you any harm – they actually emit fewer radio waves than your mobile phone.
